1897 Winchester Sear Cowboys & Indian
A high quality sear made slightly oversize to allow for proper fitting. Sometimes the difference between a “snappy” action and a “draggy” action on a 1897 is the sear becoming worn. That can allow the hammer to drag on the underside of the bolt. A slightly longer sear can drop the hammer down out of the way and sometimes help create a smoother action.
